My grandmother and grandfather grew up in Lowell and are buried at the Lowell Cemetery. I've never been to visit and my wife and I are going for the first time this Memorial Day. I can't wait to go and see. I never got to go to their grave so I'm excited to visit.

I am so lucky to live near this beautiful place. We walk through here all the time. It is really a gorgeous garden that happens to also memorialize the lives of others. The cemetery has some wonderful stories and monuments. There is a witch, a lion and book chair. They are building a Columbarium to memorialize those who are cremated. If you like history and gardens this is a wonderful place to wander around in. There are two entrances, one on Lawrence Street and one on Knapp avenue the road behind Shedd Park.
